Questions appraisers ask first.

Will it ever suggest a different value, comp or adjustment?
No. It writes up the decisions in your notes and nothing else. It only answers the kinds of requests lenders are allowed to make (consider more sales, explain or support, correct errors). Anything that reads like pressure on value is flagged "Appraiser only" and not drafted.
Is this OK under USPAP? Who's responsible?
You are, for every word you sign, as with any software you use. Treat the draft like a trainee's first pass and read every line. Sharing assignment details with an outside service is your call under USPAP's confidentiality rules, which is why we ask you to remove borrower details first.
What happens to what I send?
Common identifiers are stripped out before drafting and put back in your copy. Your request is used only to write your draft, under terms that don't allow AI training on it. One person reads it to check the draft. We delete the request and draft within 7 days. Full privacy details.
Does it work with my form software?
It doesn't plug in. You send text and copy the reply out, so it works alongside a la mode, ClickFORMS, ACI or anything else.
How do I cancel?
Reply "cancel" to any Stip email, or use the billing link in your welcome email. You won't be charged again.
Who is behind Stip?
Stip is independent software for appraisers. We're not appraisers, an AMC or a lender, which is exactly why Stip doesn't touch valuation.
